About Ed:	Ed Schwartz Bio
BIOGRAPHY:	My background in CE and CI started when I was a small child. My father, Leonard Schwartz owned a distribution company based in Philadelphia, PA back in the late 50's, 60's and 70's called Empire Electronic Distributors. I grew up at the earliest age playing with short wave radio's my father brought back from the HiFi show in Berlin. Later he began distributing reel-to-reel multi-track tape recorders, then 4 track autosound which became 8 track which became cassette tapes. In 1980 I began selling audio, TV, appliances and small electronics for a 30 store chain based in Los Angeles. I moved to Florida and became an independent manufacturer's representative from 1982-2016 working with companies throughout the state of Florida. For a time I had a "second job" making live on-the-air presentations on television networks presenting digital imaging and home office products. After leaving the Manufacturer's Rep business in 2017 I was very lucky to meet the owner of 21St Century Distributing at a dealer show and was hired as a business development manager based out of the Orlando branch. Its been a great company to work with. I enjoy the interaction with my teammates and I truly like the everyday communication with our customers. 21St Century Distributing does things the right way and is a great company to work for.
EDUCATION:	High School- George Washington High School, Philadelphia, PA College- University of Miami, Coral Gables, FL Studied Journalism
HOBBIES:	Playing basketball, tennis and golf. Listening to an disecting songs from the Beatles over and over, never tired of those songs. Traveling. Enjoy visiting the countries my ancestors came from, Scottland, Ireland, UK, Israel, Germany, Austria, Hungary. Have spent many trips to all of the various Caribbean Islands and continue to go back. My favorites are Dominica, St Lucia and Barbados.
INTERESTS:	My favorite things to do are water sports, hiking, playing basketball and traveling with our family. My wife of 44 years and I have had a blessed life with 2 grown children and our favorite pet dogs. We have owned Rhodesian Ridgebacks since before our children were born. We love animals. I'm a big fan of rock music and pop. My parents had a hi-fi system and as a little kid I heard great songs on the stereo and continued to enjoy the pleasures of listening to music.
